Successfully completed a 4-day long residential workshop on Life Skill Development

We Blind Rockers are proud to announce that we have successfully completed a 4-day long workshop on Life Skill Development for 15 visually impaired and blind women in Nepal with support from Abilis, Finland on 12th January 2019.

We are very grateful to Abilis, Finland for supporting us in our mission to empower blind women in Nepal. The workshop was held at Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Bhaktapur.

The workshop was conducted as per our plan including the training sessions on life skills accompanied by evening entertainment sessions of performance art as a taster pack for our next upcoming performance art training program.

We are very thankful to Mrs. Sapana Pradhan Malla, Judge, Supreme Court Nepal for accepting our invitation for being Chief Guest in a short notice. Her presence in the closing ceremony has not only motivated Blind Rocks but has given hope and encouragement to our blind friends, who are dreaming to become independent to serve for the nation as any other citizen of Nepal.

The participants were interviewed before and after the workshop to learn about their perception regarding this kind of workshop.
